"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the
Almighty."
Revelation 1:8 NIV
God was before everything, He is real, will always be, and is all-powerful.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he
created them.
Genesis 1:27 NIV
We are created by God. We are not merely a product of chance but the purposeful creation of God.
If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is
crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.
Genesis 4:7 NIV
Just as a loving father tells his son not to stick his finger in a fire because he doesn't want him
to get burnt, God has given us His word to protect us from the fire.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 3:23 NIV
We all make mistakes. None of us are capable of living as God desires for us.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23 NIV
Those mistakes are sin, and the punishment for sin is Hell. But God has provided a way to obtain
eternal life.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall
not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not
believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only
Son.
John 3:16-18 NIV
God sent Jesus Christ to save the world from Hell. We obtain that gift of grace through our faith in
Jesus.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for
us.
Romans 5:8 NIV
This gift was made even though we don't deserve it because of God's love for us.
The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was
crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.
Matthew 28:5-6 NIV
Jesus died on the cross and three days later He rose from the grave.
In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born
again."
John 3:3 NIV
To be born again we must confess our sins to God and believe that His Son, Jesus, died on the cross
and rose again for us. Then by the blood of Jesus we are washed clean and made new.
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised
him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9 NIV
If you feel God's call on your life then the following prayer can express your desire to be a child
of God. This is a commitment and can not be made simply as a "just in case" safety
measure.
"God, I know I am a sinner deserving death. I believe that You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die on
the cross. That He rose from the grave three days later. Lord thank You for doing this for me. I ask
You to forgive me of my sins. I want You to come into my heart and take control of my life. In
Jesus' name, amen."
If you have just made this commitment to Jesus and truly meant it then you are now a child of God.
As new born believer the Lord would like you to get to know Him better.
- Read the Holy Bible (John and Romans are good books to start with).
- Continue to pray (all it takes is just talking with Him like He was standing right there with
you).
- Fellowship with other believers (preferably in a church where the Bible is believed).
- Share with others (others need to hear the hope you have found).
